- A branch
- 24 Take-Out-Boxes
- Wire
- Paint stick
- Scissors
I found a really nice pine branch in the forest - it was the base for my calendar. To have enough space for your gift boxes, make sure your branch is widely ramified. Let it dry for a few days, if it's still wet. You can order take out boxes on the Internet, they're not expensive.
First, paint the numbers on the boxes. Afterwards, fix the boxes to the branch using wire.
Homemade Christmas Calendar Using a Pine Branch
To mount the advent calendar to the ceiling, you have various options. We didn't want to drill a hole to it, so we used two boards, transparent cable ties and wire to mount it to the banister rail.
Otherwise, you can use two thin ropes and a metal ring to build a hanging and mount it to a hook in the ceiling.Instead of take-out-boxes, you can of course use small gift bags.
