It seems to be a law of nature, that you always get sick on weekends or holidays.

At least at a time, where no drugstore is open unless you want to drive 30 minutes at a time, where you don't want to leave the house at all.

Wet and cold weather didn't result in cozy holidays for us. Instead, we all got the flu and fell like flies. 

I have to confess, I don't have lots of remedies at home. Miffed and coughing, I started to search for home remedies for cough and flu. I wasn't very successful, so I decided to make my own homemade cough syrup. 

Onion juice with honey is a very effective remedy against cough and cold. Recent studies indicate, that honey is partly superior to antibiotics in its effect, as honey also helps against drug-resistant germs.

Homemade Cough Syrup: Recipe

For your own homemade cough syrup, you cut the onion into small dices and cook it in the water for about 5 minutes. Afterwards add the honey and you're done.

You can mix the homemade cough syrup additionally, if you want to have the onions extra fine. If you want the onion juice to be thicker, just add more honey, it won't hurt.

Take your homemade cough syrup at least 3 times a day and keep it in the fridge. After 3 days, I would make new onion juice and litter the old one.

If you're searching for other natural remedies for cold, drink chamomile tee with honey. I drank it until I literally thought it must come flow out of my ears (sorry for this image). But after only 2 days, my sore throat was completely gone (though I didn't take any other remedies for flu).

"How many chocolate bars have you got in there?", was the first thing my dad asked me, when he tasted my chocolate cake. "Only two", I answered and smiled.

Today, I present you the best chocolate cake recipe EVER. Well, at least that's my opinion. I just love this one - and it's also quite an easy chocolate cake recipe. The raspberries match perfectly to the dark chocolate and give it a fresh taste.
I love this cake so much, I was really excited, when I made the paste. And then, when I put it in the stove. And then again, when I put it out.

My boyfriend yet complained, the chocolate cake was too chocolaty for him. Can you believe this? Personally, I don't think there is such a thing as too chocolaty - but try for yourself!

The Best Chocolate Cake Recipe for Chocolate Raspberry Cake

For the moist chocolate cake, you have to make a shortcrust first. Knead the flour, one egg, sugar and salt and the butter. Form a paste ball and put it in the fridge for around an hour.

Oil the cake pan and dust it with a bit of flour. Roll out the paste on a counter top, which is also dusted with flour and press it into the cake pan. Afterwards, put baking paper upon the paste and put the beans on the baking paper. 

Bake the paste in the preheated stove for 15 minutes at 356 F (180° C). This is called blind-baking.

For the topping, break the chocolate bars into little pieces and put it in a pot together with milk and cream. Melt the chocolate at low temperature and stir until the chocolate is completely melted and equally mixed. Take it from the stove, let it cool down for a couple of minutes and add the remaining egg.

Remove the beans and the baking paper from the paste and fill in the chocolate topping. Add the raspberries.  Put the chocolate cake back into the stove for another 20 minutes.
It's ready as soon as the edge is slightly brown and the topping has the consistency of pudding. Enjoy!

I unfortunately do not have a lot of time to cook (though I enjoy it very much). Thus I'm always searching for quick and easy dinner recipes. And, if possible, healthy recipes...
Moreover, the recipe shouldn't be for pasta. I love pasta, but I refuse to use a recipe for making pasta. Instead, I loot the fridge and use everything which seems to be suitable. I'm always curious what comes out in the end.
Anyway, I found a perfect, vegan recipe which I'm happy to share with you: tomato soup with vegetables. Enjoy!

For the tomato soup, you peel and wash the potatoes and cut them into pieces afterwards. Next, you peel the carote and cut it into slices. Peel the onion and the garlic and cut it into small pieces.
Wash the cabbage and cut it into slices, as well as the peperonis.

Sweat the onion and the garlic in oil, afterwards add the tomato paste. Fry it for a short time and add the remaining vegetables. Add the vegetable stock and let it cook (with cover) for 10 minutes.

Finally, add the tomatoes and the spices.
